Iranian short ‘Today is Friday’ is to vie at the 2021 Reading Film Fest in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘Today is Friday’ has been selected to compete at the 7th edition of the Reading Film Fest in the US.

Directed by Mohammad Ahangar, the 14-minute film tells the story of Nader and Saeed who are two colleagues in a company.

While they are arguing with each other because of their problems in the company, suddenly something happens that causes some changes in their destinies.

‘Today is Friday’ has gone on screen at a number of global events, including the R. E. D. International Film Festival (RIFF) in Norway, the Dead Center Film Festival and the Santa Fe Film Festival, both in the US.

The Reading Film Fest presents films that promote conversation about racial issues. The event also includes panel discussions and Q&A sessions with filmmaker.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s festival will be a hybrid event.

The upcoming edition of the festival will take place on September30-October 3, 2021.
